Southern Donghai Iron and Steel Company was established in December 2019 and is located in the Metal Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Industrial Park in Yunfu City, Guangdong Province. It aims to be a new steel plant with an electric furnace process of 8 million tons. At present, Nanfang Donghai Steel has completed land preparation and started construction of the first phase of the 4 million tons steel plant. It is expected that the hot-rolled production line will be put into operation by the end of 2021 and the cold-rolled production line will be put into operation in July 2022.
